The Control HST-WH is a truly innovative on-wall loudspeaker that solves a common problem in commercial audio installations.

Employing JBL’s patent-pending Hemispherical Soundfield Technology™, it delivers exceptionally wide, consistent coverage while virtually eliminating the wall reflections that often cause uneven sound with traditional surface-mount speakers.

Unlike conventional on-wall speakers, the Control HST-WH features a clever design with a wall-facing woofer and two horizontally splayed tweeters. Combined with a specially engineered wall bracket that spaces the speaker at the optimal distance from the wall and a tapered cabinet, it creates a broad, hemispherical soundfield that spreads high-fidelity, full-range audio from wall to wall.

This allows a single speaker to effectively cover a much larger listening area, often reducing the total number of speakers required — and lowering overall system costs.

The result is smoother frequency response, fewer peaks and dips, and more consistent sound throughout the space. Whether used for background music or foreground playback, the Control HST-WH sounds natural and balanced almost everywhere in the room.
