Cloud Electronics MX190
The Cloud Electronics MX190 nine channel stereo audio mixer is simple to install and operate and provides a useful range of features and configuration options, ideal for commercial and installed sound systems in venues such as bars, restaurants, gyms, houses of worship, conference rooms and presentation spaces where reliable mixing of microphones, background music, and paging announcements is required.
The MX190 mixer has six, rear mounted, primary multi-purpose channels, each of which may operate either as a balanced mic input or a balanced line input. Selectable 48V phantom power is available at all mic inputs for condenser microphones.
Channel 1 features adjustable VOX detection to allow paging use, with automatic reduction of background music level. VOX threshold is adjustable via a rear panel preset control.
For easy connection of media players, tablets, laptops, streaming devices etc, there are three further unbalanced stereo line inputs on the rear panel with level adjustment on the front along with alternative 3.5mm inputs which, when used, disable those on the rear.
The front panel provides level and HF/LF EQ controls for each of the six mic/line channels, and level controls for each of the stereo line inputs. All inputs feature “signal present” LEDs, which illuminate on input signal detection.
The main stereo output of the mixer is balanced: the front panel has an output level control and an LED bargraph meter. An unbalanced pre-fade version of the main output is available on phono connectors as a source for recording or other applications.
A mono sum of the main output is available at a separate balanced Zone Out connector with independent level adjustment - handy for a secondary area (corridor, toilets, bar, foyer) requiring lower level background music.
A further (balanced) CH1-6 Output provides a mixed sum of the six primary inputs, again with a separate front panel level control. When this output is made active by its front panel switch, the six primary inputs are removed from the mix at the main and Zone outputs; these outputs then continue to carry a mix of the three stereo line inputs, with ducking remaining active.
