Commercial Audio Newsletter for November 2026
Hello and welcome to our November Newsletter. This month we are focussing on the fabulous new range of commercial loudspeakers from Bosch. It’s not often they completely update a range of speakers, as they like to stick with a tried and tested formula. But these really do represent a step forward for the prestigious brand.
We also showcase our ever popular rack-build service that is proving a real time-saver for customers who haven’t got time to build, wire and test a system before going to site. Our build cost is very competitive and we can usually turn a job around in 7 days (depending on complexity).
We are also very proud to announce that Steve, our technical sales Manager has been accepted into the Greater Manchester Blood Bike team, and as usual you can find a bargain in our clearance zone.
As always, we'd be deighted to hear from you if you need any further information or help, so please call us on 01663 767888 or email your enquiry to sales@commercialaudiosolutions.com.
Best Regards
Brian Knott Managing Director

Council Office Rack Build Project
11 Zone PA System for Council Offices
We’ve recently completed another multizone PA system rack build for one of our installation customers, enabling them to spend less time on site and with the piece of mind that the equipment and rack are correctly working.
This system provides 11 zones of paging into a local council building, and is based upon the well engineered TOA VM-2000 series amplifiers and RM-200M paging microphones. Each VM-2120 amplifier provides a total of 120w into 5 zones, and can be easily configured to act in a Master/SUB relationship when you need to expand the number of paging zones.
Tech Hub: Programming Sequenced Playback on the Waves System Microplayer
One of the useful features of the Microplayer is its ability to play single files in a sequenced order from a contact input. In this technical guide we show how to organise the file structure on the SD/USB card.
In the example shown below, using the [SEQ] command in the folder name, we can get the player to play the files inside this folder in sequenced order. In this example we also use the [NXT001] command which tells the player to play only one audio file then stop. This command can be changed to however many files you wished to be played with one contact input, for example [NXT003].
We also use the [NT] command, which tells the player to not restart the playback from any additional contact input, so this avoids contact bounce and accidental activation.
To enable the player to provide sequenced playback, the audio files within the folder need to be renamed starting with a three digit number. This tells the player in which order to play the files:
The files.tab is automatically created by the player to keep a record of which files it has already played.
We hope this has been helpful. If you need any further advice, please give us a call on 01663 767888 and we'll be pleased to help.
