Wireless Conference Systems

Wireless Conference Systems

Wireless conference systems offer flexible, cable-free solutions for professional meetings and discussions. They provide excellent audio clarity without the restrictions of fixed installations, making them perfect for venues that need quick setup or reconfigurable layouts.

Our range includes UHF wireless conference systems with gooseneck delegate units for simple, high-quality speech reinforcement. We also stock advanced infrared wireless conference systems that deliver secure, interference-free audio ideal for sensitive environments.

Premium digital wireless discussion systems, such as Bosch Dicentis solutions, feature high-end wireless delegate and chairman units with options for voting, identification, dual use, and simultaneous interpretation.

These wireless conference microphones and discussion systems are widely used in corporate boardrooms, council chambers, conference centres, hotels, training rooms, universities, and multi-purpose venues. Their portability makes them especially valuable for temporary events, hybrid meetings, and spaces where permanent cabling is impractical.

With rechargeable batteries, charging stations, infrared transmitters/receivers, and expansion accessories, our systems scale from small meeting rooms to large congress-style events. They combine ease of use with professional reliability, supporting clear communication and efficient decision-making.

FAQs

What is a wireless conference system?

It is a set of tabletop discussion units — chairman and delegate — that link without fixed cabling. Boardrooms, council chambers, hotels, universities and multi-purpose rooms use them when the layout changes or permanent wiring is impractical.

How is a wireless conference system different from installed gooseneck mics?

Installed goosenecks are hard-wired into the table or floor boxes, whereas a wireless system is placed for the meeting and charged afterwards. You gain flexibility but planning is necessary to ensure batteries are recharged in between use.

How is a conference system different from a wireless PA microphone?

A PA handheld is for one or two speakers into a mixer. A conference system gives each seat its own mic, with a chairman who can open and close channels, and options for voting or interpretation. It is not a portable PA although it can be packed away in between uses.

Should I choose infrared or UHF wireless conference?

Infrared stays in the room and is hard to intercept, which suits confidential meetings and council chambers. UHF wireless covers a space more easily where line of sight is awkward. Infrared needs IR radiators aimed at the tables. UHF needs clear frequencies.

What is the difference between a chairman unit and a delegate unit?

The chairman unit can control the meeting — priority, muting other mics, opening channels. Delegate units are for the other seats. Most systems need one chairman and as many delegates as seats. A room of identical units has no control.

Can a wireless conference system do voting?

Advanced digital systems can, with voting at the seat and software to collect results. Basic discussion systems are speech only. Specify voting only if the room actually holds formal votes. It adds cost and setup.

Can it support interpretation?

Premium systems can carry simultaneous interpretation channels, so a delegate hears a translated feed. That needs interpreter desks and matching receivers or language channels on the units. A simple discussion set does not do this.

How are the units powered?

Most use rechargeable batteries and a multi-slot charger. Plan enough packs and a charge cycle between meetings. A system left flat is useless on the day. Infrared systems also need power to the radiators.

Will a wireless conference system work for hybrid meetings?

Yes, if the base connects to the room DSP or soft-codec so remote participants hear the table and the room hears the call. The wireless units alone do not join Teams or Zoom. You still need the interface and echo control.

Who can help specify a wireless conference system?

Commercial Audio Solutions stocks TOA and Bosch Dicentis wireless discussion systems, including chairman units, voting options and chargers. Call 01663 767888 or email sales@commercialaudiosolutions.com with the number of seats, whether you need infrared, and if voting or interpretation is required.
