The LD Systems MAILA SUB is the starting point of every MAILA system. The 2.5 kW, 2x15'' high-performance subwoofer with bandpass design and newly developed SysCore® DSP, delivers a massive and powerful bass foundation.

The MAILA SUB planar wave bandpass design features quarter-wave horn and symmetrical driver construction. The impulse compensation created by placing the two 15'' speakers opposite each other results in a powerful and precise low-frequency punch.

The enclosure design with four large-area bass reflex openings ensures optimised airflow and reduced flow losses, resulting a lower noise level and higher efficiency at low frequencies.

For optimum touring resilience, the MAILA SUB is constructed from 18 mm birch plywood with a hard-wearing polyurea paint finish and six carrying handles provide optimum grip during assembly and dismantling. At almost 90kg, a practical option for easy movement on site is the optional MAILA SUB CB castor board.

By using two (or more) subs, you can also take advantage of the cardioid-preset. Place one SUB facing the opposite direction and enable the cardioid-preset to get a quieter and controlled low-end at the back while still keeping the punch at the front. This is the perfect way to control noise levels for neighbours or to resolve feedback issues when subs are placed in front of the stage.

Yet another outstanding innovative feature of the MAILA system is LogoLink®. The free MAILA app (iPadOS) enables every MAILA system to be quickly, easily and precisely adjusted wirelessly and supplied with software updates. Once connected, the app automatically recognises all connected MAILA components for quick and easy set up - including calculation of the SAT angles, even before you arrive on site. The name ‘Logolink’ is derived from the wireless antennas being invisibly integrated into the LD logo.
