The Terracom TERRA-lEX/G2 is designed for simple point-to-point or point-to-multi-point audio distribution, as well as converting analogue audio via an Ethernet/Internet network without the need for a computer.

TERRA-lEX/G2 incorporates a high-quality MP3 encoder and decoder. The decoder converts MP3 audio from the network, and the encoder converts analogue audio sources, such as a CD player, to the network.

Internal memory supports up to 200MB for storage of music / messages / recordings. Audio files can be easily stored through a computer on the local network and played locally. Audio files may also be stored on micro SD card for playback via the Micro SD slot on the front of the unit.

The typical application involves integrating BGM playback and emergency calls using a single TERRA-lEX/G2.

Generally, it is used for decoding MP3 audio streaming from the network. A push button is connected to the control input of for emergency calls. Additionally, users can connect an external microphone* of their choice to the mic input.

Users can program one or several target IP addresses through the TERRA-IEXII web browser. When the push button is pressed, BGM playback automatically stops, and the emergency call is triggered to play to the pre-programmed target or to multiple targets sequentially as predefined. The call can be a live broadcast or predefined messages.
