RCF TT08
The RCF TT08 is a full range, extremely versatile two-way loudspeaker system offering substantial power and efficiency for a variety of professional applications: theatre and touring markets as well as fixed installations.
Clearance Line – ONE ONLY! Whilst the speaker is fine, the box has become rather tatty so we’re offering it at a fraction of the original List price of around £1000!
In brief:
- 90° x 60° CMD (Constant Matching Design) constant directivity horn for
smooth, wide dispersion - 8” Neodymium Midbass with 2.5” copper inside-outside voice coil
- AMCDP (Active Mosfet Compression Driver Protection)
- LICC (Low Impedance Compensated Crossover Network)
- 2 fly tracks suspension points, 3 M10 suspension points
- 35mm standard internal pole mount
Here’s the detail:
The high-frequency section is a constant directivity CMD horn designed mathematically for Constant Matching Design in relation to the woofer system, loaded to a 1.0” RCF Precision Neodymium compression driver with a 1.70” diaphragm assembly for smooth, wide dispersion.
The low-frequency section is a 8” RCF Precision Neodymium woofer. Each transducer has been specifically designed for the application.
The woofer provides large excursion and is very light weight.
The voice coil is a 64 mm design, best compromise between power handling and low mass. The compression driver features a new pure titanium dome. Special ribs on the dome provides maximum flatness and extension in very high frequencies.
TT08 includes the LICC-Low Impedance Compensated Crossover that features markedly lower induction values in series with the woofer. The benefit is delay reduction, reduced phase shift and superior transient response. For a superior power handling, high power, aluminium case, resistors are used in the crossover network.
Dynamic high-frequency driver protection is accomplished with the RCF exclusive – Active Mosfet Compression Driver Protection System, chosen to complement the power curve of the driver.
The cabinet is in marine baltic birch plywood, coated with high resistance epoxy paint.
The mechanical suspension and orientation is very easy thanks to two 3-points fly
tracks. The cabinets features a steel pole mount cap and two different angles for near field or long field monitoring.
